Hey, my name is Ed - I'm American-born Hongkonger, prior Army National Guard, (wannabe) reader, (kinda) climber, (not a very good) thinker, (not really) blogger, (figuring it out) programmer, and (professionally) consultant. Perhaps the common thread between these is being a problem solver. These are, maybe vaguely, the identities I kinda care about. Honestly, I don't really know what I am doing - a full-grown adult still trying to figure it out.

I have bounced around more than a few places between Hong Kong, Philly, State College, San Francisco, Tahoe, Strasbourg, and Boulder. All of them hold a special place in my heart. Along the way, I haven’t always coped well with life by doom scrolling, gaming, and sometimes avoiding the hard stuff. On good days, I get to climb a lot as an outlet. Its pulls me into a mindset where I would love to live more intentionally.
